JOIN OUR TEAM
Hyde Square Task Force is a youth-centered organization rooted in Afro-Latin culture, community, justice, and belonging.
Our team helps create spaces where young people can explore who they are, develop their creativity, build confidence, and use their voices to make a difference in their communities.
WHY THIS WORK MATTERS
At HSTF, young people are supported as artists, students, leaders, and community members. Through Afro-Latin arts and culture, education, mentoring, tutoring, organizing, and wellbeing support, youth build agency, deepen their sense of identity, and grow into healthy, happy, civically engaged adults.
This video shares more about HSTF’s creative youth development work and the role Afro-Latin culture plays in helping young people feel grounded, connected, and confident in who they are.
Our values
The values that guide how we work
We use these values to guide all aspects of our work — what we do and how we do it.
Belonging
We believe in creating spaces where we can feel at home, be seen, and be accepted for all of who we are.
Creativity
We believe that we all have a well of creativity and self-expression. When we dig deep down and tap into it, we find a source of life and inspiration that sustains ourselves and our community.
Justice
We believe in standing with our community and amplifying our collective voices to create a just and equitable Boston and beyond.
Community
We believe in creating supportive relationships that are rooted in a sense of familia that extends beyond our four walls.
Owning It
We believe in balancing process and results. We all can achieve at high levels, give our best, and own our roles in ensuring success for everyone.
Love
We believe love is central to who we are. We cultivate it so it shows up in all that we do.
